All sales at Alternate Volts are final. We do not accept returns, exchanges, or refunds for buyer's remorse, change of mind, sizing errors, fitment incompatibility, or any reason other than those listed below.
This applies to:
- All apparel (print-on-demand garments cannot be re-stocked)
- All parts and accessories
- All custom builds and any custom-tuned configuration
Please review product details, sizing charts, fitment notes, and your order summary carefully before completing checkout. For any custom build or part, you are required to email [email protected] before placing the order — see Shipping policy.
Defective on arrival
If your order arrives defective, materially damaged, or not as described, we will repair, replace, or refund at our option. To qualify:
- Email [email protected] within seven (7) days of delivery or pickup
- Include your order number, photos of the defect, and a description of the problem
- Do not install, modify, or attempt to repair the item before contacting us
- We will respond within one business day with next steps
For apparel: defects must be photographed before the garment is washed or worn. Apparel-specific defect claims are handled with our print-on-demand partner per their policy and may require submitting their claim form.
Damaged in transit
If the carrier damaged your shipment in transit:
- Document the damage with photos, including the packaging, before unpacking further if possible
- Contact us within seven (7) days at [email protected]
- We will help file a carrier claim or, for apparel, a print-on-demand replacement claim with our fulfillment partner
Manufacturer warranty
Where a manufacturer warranty applies (some new electronic components), Alternate Volts will help facilitate a warranty claim with the manufacturer. The terms, duration, and coverage of any manufacturer warranty are set by the manufacturer, not by us. Used, refurbished, and modified items, including all custom builds, are sold as-is unless explicitly stated.
We do not perform battery service of any kind. This includes battery diagnostics, cell replacement, balancing, BMS work, repair, refurbishment, recelling, and rebuilds. We do not sell standalone batteries. Inquiries about battery sales or service will be declined. See Terms § 10.
Refused or undeliverable shipments
If a shipment is refused at delivery, returned to us as undeliverable due to an incorrect address you provided, or unclaimed at a freight terminal, the order is forfeit. We may, at our sole discretion, offer a partial refund minus our outbound and return shipping costs and a 25% restocking fee, but we are under no obligation to do so.
Chargebacks
If you have a problem with an order, please contact us first at [email protected]. We will do our best to resolve any legitimate issue. Filing a fraudulent chargeback after receiving the product or after we have already attempted resolution will be challenged with full documentation.
Refund timing
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within five (5) to ten (10) business days. Card networks and banks may take additional time to post the credit to your account.
